Barnabas Health Teams Up With Celebrity Chef Sam Talbot To Launch “Life Is Better Healthy” Cooking Video Series

West Orange, New Jersey (PRWEB) May 05, 2015

Barnabas Health, the state’s largest not-for-profit health care system, today announced the launch of a new healthy cooking video series starring celebrity chef Sam Talbot. Talbot, a season two semi-finalist on Bravo’s Top Chef, teamed up with Barnabas Health to showcase recipes and dishes that promote wellness and healthy living. In support of the series, Barnabas Health is also re-launching an enhanced Wellness Website and the videos will be showcased on social media.

“Building healthier communities is a crucial part of Barnabas Health’s mission,” said Barry H. Ostrowsky, President and Chief Executive Officer, Barnabas Health. “As we become more intimately involved with our communities’ wellness in places where people work, live, and play, we will be providing education programs that will yield measurable behavior changes and health outcomes. This video series is another way for us to impact the well-being of the communities we serve.”

Diagnosed at a young age with Type 1 Diabetes, Talbot lives with a deep understanding of the impact food can have on a person’s life. This perspective has allowed him to develop unique recipes highlighting the importance of eating right and cooking healthy.

Talbot is featured in 11 videos with Barnabas Health dieticians combining the science of nutrition as it relates to healthy eating and wellness with the art of cooking.

“Partnering with a health care system like Barnabas Health has been a wonderful opportunity to fulfill my mission to showcase the special blend of science and the art of cooking while promoting health and wellness, said Talbot. “The videos and unique recipes were designed to make cooking enjoyable and help educate families on the importance of nutrition and eating healthy.”

The “Life is better healthy cooking series with Sam Talbot” was designed to help educate families on how to eat healthier in a fast paced, fast food environment. The series also highlights the importance of making healthy choices of fruits and vegetables instead of highly processed, fast and convenient foods. These recipes are simple, quick, nutritious, and inexpensive.

The 11-episode series includes videos on breakfast, lunch, dinner, snacking, fast food, processed food and balanced diet as well as episodes featuring seasonal foods and recipes.

Content for the videos were developed by Talbot in conjunction with Barbara Mintz, RD, Vice President of Healthy Living and Community Engagement for Barnabas Health.

In addition to the ‘Life is better healthy’ cooking videos, the enhanced Wellness Website also features healthy recipes, health quizzes, diet and exercise tips, age-specific guidelines for appropriate health screenings and tests, as well as health blogs and an A to Z health library.

“This website and the new, interactive content featured were developed to promote healthier eating habits and healthier living,” says Ms. Mintz. “Our goal is to help the community become more informed about the importance of healthful eating and the positive impacts it can have on their overall health and wellness.”

“At Barnabas Health, ‘Life is better healthy’ is not just our motto – it’s our way of life. We incorporated that philosophy into this website redesign and truly made it all about the people we serve and gave them access to resources they can use to achieve optimal health,” added Ms. Mintz.

Best Home Exercise Video Program For You

Over the past year, I have completely dumped the gym, and started a new fitness quest which solely used home exercise videos. I discovered they are a great way to get in an amazing workout on a regular and flexible basis. You can plug in your DVD, hit play, and workout in the privacy of your own home any time you like. Your workout schedule is no longer dictated by your local gym’s hours of operation, or times that are overly congested. There are however, several factors that you should consider before purchasing any home exercise video.

As you should before you start any new exercise program, you should consult with your physician, and get a full checkup. Your physician will let you know if you are in good general health and if you have any types of restrictions on what type of fitness program you should engage in. Additionally, the outcomes of your physical exam could give you indicators of what types of exercises you need to focus on to address any particular weaknesses.

Once you have the green light from your doc, next you need to begin researching and finding the right video for your current fitness level. Don’t get hung-up on where you want to be in a year from now, but rather think of each program is one step along the way. What type of exercise do you need now to move to the next level? If you are a beginner, finally getting off the couch, and haven’t been on a fitness program in years, I highly suggest you start with beginner level exercise programs. You may feel a little silly at first, but as you proceed through the program, you’ll find you enjoy it more, grow more confident, and more apt to stick with the program.

Time is an important factor for most of us. Look for videos that have workouts in time increments that fit your schedule. For example, if you are just starting out it may be best keep your workouts limited to 20-30 minutes. With smaller and more manageable time increments, you are much more likely to carve out that time and not leave the DVD sitting on the shelf.

Self motivation and commitment is always a key aspect of any home workout program. You have to find that inner drive, and that one reason that motivates you, whether your goals are general fitness, weight loss, toning up, or building muscle. Keep pushing play, be consistent, and stick with the program.

Home exercise videos are a great way to get in great shape, tone up those muscles, lose the spare tire, or get beach ready; in the privacy of your own home and on your schedule. If you make sure you are healthy enough for the exercise program, select a video that is right for you and your fitness goals and work with your time constraints, you will be on the path for success. Don’t waste anymore time. Get started on your new fit lifestyle today!

New Video from Personal Trainer Marketing Expert Bedros Keuilian Explains How to Get More Clients from Facebook

Chino Hills, CA (PRWEB) November 06, 2014

Bedros Keuilian, a former personal trainer who built his business into a worldwide fitness franchise and then became the leading personal trainer marketing coach in the world, has always said that email marketing and Facebook are the two biggest factors in any trainer’s marketing success. His new video explains how to harness that potential, step-by-step.

“Josh Carter, one of the multi-million dollar earners in my Fit Body boot Camp franchise, is one of the most knowledgeable people around when it comes to using Facebook to get new clients and build a fitness business,” says Keuilian. “At our 2014 Fitness Business Summit, he went through his own process step-by-step, and we’ve uploaded that one hour video to YouTube so that others can use his model.”

During the personal trainer marketing video, Carter explains which types of posts garner the most email subscribers from Facebook and then how to market to those email subscribers and turn them into long-term clients. He goes through each step of his own process, using screenshots of his Facebook account and his various squeeze pages as visual examples.

“So many trainers out there understand that Facebook and email lists are extremely important personal trainer marketing tools, but they just don’t understand how to do it and how to do it effectively,” says Keuilian. “Josh has made millions, through both his boot camps and his fitness information products, by using Facebook and for him to walk people through his own methods is a pretty generous and valuable gift.”

By the end of the video presentation, personal trainers will be able to set up a Facebook page for their fitness businesses, create the types of posts that get the most interest, know how to funnel those interested people to an email sign-up list and then how to market to them by using valuable, usable content that builds trust and credibility.

“Most personal trainers aren’t all that knowledgeable about social media, building squeeze pages or creating sales funnels,” says Keuilian. “But if they’re not maximizing the potential of Facebook for getting a steady stream of new clients, then they’re losing a ton of money and working much too hard for every new client they do get. This video removes the learning curve so that they can completely revamp their personal trainer marketing campaigns and start reaching their goals for their businesses.”

New Video from Boot Camp Marketing Expert Bedros Keuilian Announces Importance of Having an Email List

Chino Hills, CA (PRWEB) October 17, 2014

Bedros Keuilian is known as much for his worldwide Fit Body Boot Camp franchise as he is for his fitness and boot camp marketing coaching, but his boot camps became an international franchise largely because of his marketing knowledge. He says that the best thing he ever did in marketing his business was to focus on building and using an email list.

In his latest video on boot camp marketing, Keuilian stresses that building an email list is one of the first things any new fitness entrepreneur should do, whether they’re starting a personal training business or a fitness boot camp.

“The value of a well-maintained and carefully-used email list can’t be overstated,” says Keuilian. “It’s one of the most effective marketing tools there is and the fact that it’s free makes it especially valuable.”

But Keuilian acknowledges that most fitness entrepreneurs are unsure how to go about building an email list and he offers several tips on quickly gathering the email addresses of people in a target market.

“The best means of getting people onto your email list can be divided between offline methods and online methods,” he explains.

“There are a number of ways to start getting a lot of email sign-ups online. Make sure you have an email sign-up on your Facebook page and invite people to sign up to receive coupons for a trial training, body fat tests or nutritional consultation. You can also offer a report on fat loss and ask people to sign up with their email to download.”

Keuilian adds that tagging existing clients in Facebook posts gives entrepreneurs visibility on their clients’ timelines and the opportunity to interact with and get the email addresses of their clients’ friends.

“You can also upload YouTube videos with valuable content like workout tips, healthy recipes, or even full workout videos and have a link to your website where people can sign up for other free content,” says Keuilian.

Offline, Keuilian says that visibility in the community is key to getting people to add themselves to a mailing list.

“Offer training or gift certificates to the owners of tanning salons, health food stores or hair salons in exchange for letting you put a sign-up sheet in their business for a fat loss report or a week of training,” says Keuilian. ‘You can also call area businesses and offer to do a lunch seminar on healthy living, fat loss or whatever other topic you like. Then have people sign in with their email addresses as they come through the door.”

Keuilian explains that using these strategies can add hundreds of emails to a mailing list in just a couple of weeks, and that sending those subscribers valuable content week after week is one of the most effective boot camp marketing strategies there is.

“Deliver value-filled emails nine times out of ten to build trust and get prospects to know and like you. Then use the tenth email to give subscribers a great low-barrier offer and you’ll find that the response will be extremely good.”

Getting the Most out of A Fitness Video

Getting the Most out of A Fitness Video

Home exercise can be more fun when done with fitness videos. In fact, more people are hooked on buying exercise videos because of its vast range of availability. However, some people may doubt the advantages offered by fitness videos. If this is the problem, then they must know some of its great benefits.

• Fitness videos are created for home exercises. Doing workouts at home provide a lot of benefits than going to the fitness gyms. First is the flexibility of schedules. People can do their workouts anytime without worrying how to deal with the crowd of exercisers in a gym. They don’t need to wait for the equipments, meet every scheduled class, or wear appropriate clothes for the exercise. Each fitness video can be used as many times as they want without any fees. But every time you go to a fitness gym, they are required to pay the price. They can also cut mileage expenses for driving cars from their home to a fitness gym.

• Fitness videos are available in a wider range of different types of workouts including strength workouts, aerobic workouts, combination of these first two workouts (circuit workouts), stretching, yoga, and even mental exercises like meditation. These workouts are also available in different styles which include step aerobics, dance aerobics, Pilates, jump rope, and kickboxing.

• Fitness videos are flexible. There are fitness videos for beginners, moderate exercisers, or advanced exercisers. People can also choose videos for particular purposes including workouts for children, for pregnant women, for seniors, and for individuals affected by back pains.

• Fitness videos without requiring any fitness equipment. In addition, fitness videos using equipments such as rubber tubing, stability balls, mini-trampolines, aerobic steps, body bars, free weights, or multi-stationed home gyms are also available. Take note, there is always an available fitness video for any equipment.

• Purchasing fitness videos are easy. These items can be found on the internet, department stores, and catalogs on fitness equipments. Shopping is very convenient and effortless. However, keep in mind these three tips:

– Get fitness videos according to the workouts you really enjoy.

– Select fitness videos that will meet your fitness goals. For example, your objective is to overcome stress then tai chi or yoga videos are good for you; if your goal is weight loss, then aerobic videos perfectly suits you; if you have previously done aerobics exercises, then more advanced dance choreography videos is perfect.

– Consider the space for doing the exercise. Choose fitness videos that are fitted to the area. Aerobic videos need a bigger space compared to yoga videos. Doing aerobic exercises needs forward, diagonal, or backward movements. While doing yoga simply needs one spot to stay.

• Fitness videos are good tools for helping people get the right amount of workouts even at home. Structured routines are given and provide various types of exercise in various intensity levels.

• Fitness videos are effective if followed. People just waste their money if they purchase fitness videos and just simply watch it and do nothing. They need to get up and do what must be done.
