FrioAire S.A. de C.V Hosts Product Seminars in Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua

(PRWEB) February 23, 2015

HVACR technicians in Guatemala City, San Salvador and Managua attended Uniweld seminars that focused on brazing technologies and techniques to minimize refrigerant leaks, as well as updates on Uniweld’s latest product introductions, such as Uniweld’s patented EZ Turn™ hoses and NV1 NitroVue™ nitrogen flow indicator. Key talking points included the importance of properly selecting their equipment to properly install, service and maintain customer air conditioning and refrigeration units to allow HVACR technicians to achieve optimum performance and hassle free operation.

Uniweld’s Richard Apodaca stated, “In most Central American countries, HVACR technicians often select a cheaper option and in doing so, may circumvent some of the proper guidelines and installation procedures required by the equipment manufacturer, as well as risking the proper performance of the equipment with lesser quality product. As a manufacturer, I feel it is Uniweld’s responsibility to educate technicians on using the proper tools and procedures to ensure optimum safety and performance of the equipment.”

The technicians attending the event were appreciative of the information presented. Jairo Garcia of Refriteca, Guatemala stated, “Excellent seminar. This is the second time I attend a Uniweld seminar which is always excellent. I always learn new things.”

For HVACR technicians whom already know to displace the oxygen inside copper tubes with nitrogen while brazing, Uniweld’s NitroVue flow regulator was a welcomed accessory. Using a nitrogen flow regulator, which is specifically tailored for HVACR applications, takes the guess work out of knowing the proper flow rates required when purging and brazing HVACR systems.

The HVACR technicians present at the seminars, also had the opportunity to take the EZ Turn™ Challenge. The EZ Turn™ Anti-Blowback fitting has a thrust bearing that reduces friction so the service hose can be easily connected to the access fitting while under pressure. This becomes extremely useful when working with a high pressure 410A system.

Frio Aire S.A. de C.V., a Uniweld authorized distributor and host of the events, was very pleased with the attendance at the seminars and level of knowledge which was shared among all that were present.

North American Seminars introduces ” Making Sense of Neck Pain”, An OT and PT Continuing Education Course Presented in New Jersey, Illinois and Indiana in 2015

Franklin, TN (PRWEB) January 31, 2015

This one day intermediate level PT continuing education course blends home study training from a professionally filmed and mastered DVD with online PT continuing education course access with face to face interactive instruction and hands on lab sessions. The course has been carefully designed to maximize the learning experience by combining the self-paced online/DVD home study material with a focused hands-on training session in the classroom.

Managing patients with neck pain can be confusing and frustrating for novice and experienced clinicians alike. In this hybrid self-study and one-day intermediate-level seminar, Dr. Durall will provide a systematic and integrative approach that demystifies the screening and treatment process, reduces frustration, and most importantly helps clinicians manage neck disorders with greater confidence and proficiency. Treatment-based classification and a novel algorithm are used as the course framework to streamline clinical decision making and care planning. Examination techniques and strategies that are introduced are straightforward and supported by research and clinical experience. Numerous intervention strategies are covered including mobilization & manipulation, therapeutic exercise, and directionally-specific exercise to provide clinicians with a diverse array of options to help optimize functional ability. Recent advances in cervico-thoracic spine research are integrated throughout the course to provide clinicians with new insights and rationale for decision making. Several special rehabilitation topics pertaining to the cervical spine will be covered including cervicogenic headaches and whiplash-associated disorders. Participants can expect to refine and advance their clinical skills in a supportive and relaxed learning environment. Hands-on lab time is incorporated throughout the course to promote immediate clinical application.

As an intermediate-level PT OT continuing education course on neck pain, it is expected that participants are familiar with the fundamental components of the cervical spine examination (e.g. ROM assessment, manual muscle testing, palpation, etc.). Thus these foundational skills are not covered. This course is intended for Physical Therapists although it may be suitable for Occupational Therapists, PTAs, or OTAs with strong orthopedic backgrounds.

PT OT Continuing Education Course Objectives

Classify neck disorders, based on examination findings, for purposes of care planning and intervention decision-making.
Perform thrust and non-thrust manual therapy techniques to the thoracic spine, 1st rib, or cervical spine.

The course has been carefully designed to maximize the learning experience by combining the self-paced online/DVD home study materials with a focused hands-on training session in the classroom.

Pilates is an effective treatment tool when properly integrated into a rehabilitation program. The proper integration of Pilates principles for orthopedic, neurologic, and geriatric populations will be presented during the online educational course and reinforced with a one day hands-on training session supported with lecture. Case study presentations with discussion of the supporting theories of Pilates exercises are integrated into the live and online materials. Expert HD video demonstrates, with narration, over 80 Pilates techniques and exercises and is delivered online and with a DVD. The live session reinforces these concepts and techniques and provides comprehensive lab sessions devoted to learning, properly executing, and cueing Pilates mat exercises. Small apparatus, including foam rolls, Swiss balls, and rings, will be used during lab exercises for modifications and advancements.

Supporting written material is provided for the online as well as live training sessions, and a DVD is provided for self-paced offline learning and reference. Specifically, participants will receive a comprehensive manual containing information on the evidence-based practice of Pilates in rehabilitation (including references to current research articles, types of exercises, effectiveness of Pilates, comparison of Pilates with other forms of exercises, and the use of Pilates in various patient populations) and a professionally filmed and mastered interactive DVD with online access.
