“There is so much information about how to start a business, it can be overwhelming. We give entrepreneurs access to key insights that can make the difference between startup success or failure,” says founding partner and the show’s host, Cheryl Goodman.

The national show also provides guidance in timing, strategies and tactics in securing funding from Venture Capital/Investment companies. For each episode, three new start-up companies are invited to participate in an elevator pitch contest where they convey who they are, what they do and how they will become a household name in just 60 seconds. The expert panel provides instant feedback and insights that will help any business focus on what really matters. The winner of the first challenge is Adam Riggs-Zeigen of Rock My Run, an intelligent music application that powers the listeners workout. Other “Elevator Pitch” participants in the first Start Me Up Live episode were Barry Klein of Glia, the app that empowers people to shop their values and Andre Szucs of Gladius, maker of innovative, light-weight prosthetics.

“We are dedicated to presenting high value information for startups and do it in a way that makes it easily digestible and fun,” says co-founder and on-air co-host, Walt Czerminski.
