SEND International Launches New Partnership with Christar

For the past year, SEND International and Christar have been ironing out the details of a partnership agreement. This spring, both organizations signed that agreement. This new partnership will allow SEND members to serve on Christar teams and Christar members to serve on SEND teams.

The partnership is a good fit for both organizations who share a core focus: planting churches among unreached people groups. Don Parsons, SEND’s Director of Globalization, says, “We are on the same page with the big picture. Their orientation is church planting and that is our bottom line as well. We have the same goals.”

The agreement opens up exciting possibilities for both SEND and Christar. Brent McHugh, International Director of Christar, hopes the partnership will bring about “Healthier teams and an accelerated pace of planting the church among the unengaged.” Don Parsons is excited to tap into Christar’s experience in working among Muslim people. He also points to the Bible, specifically John 17, saying, “You can see all across Scripture the value of partnering together for the sake of the gospel.”

Initially, the focus will be on mobilizing missionaries to reach refugee communities around the world. According to the UN (in a report published June 18, 2015), there were 59.5 million forcibly displaced people worldwide in 2014. Antonio Guterres, the UN High Commissioner for Refugees, has said, “We are witnessing a paradigm change, an unchecked slide into an era in which the scale of global forced displacement as well as the response required is now clearly dwarfing anything seen before.” Christar has found that these refugees, being away from home in a new environment, tend to be very open to new communities and ideas. This provides an open door to help these hurting people physically and emotionally as well as spiritually.

Both short-term and long-term missionaries are needed to meet these needs. Brent McHugh says that they are “looking for people who have a desire to plant a church among unengaged people groups. We look for boldness in sharing Christ and moving people along in discipleship.”

Many of these opportunities will be posted on the SEND International website,, in just a few weeks. To learn more about either organization, visit or

SEND International is an interdenominational faith mission agency with around 500 missionaries in more than 20 areas of Asia, Eurasia, Europe and North America. SEND’s mission is to mobilize God’s people and engage the unreached in order to establish reproducing churches. SEND members are multinational and are recruited and sent from sending offices and partner agencies around the world. For more information on SEND’s mission and ministries, visit

BeyondCurious Launches Program to Incubate Employee Innovation

Los Angeles, CA (PRWEB) May 26, 2015

BeyondCurious (, an innovation agency that creates mobile experiences, today announced the launch of the BeyondCurious Academy, an employee development and mentoring program focused on innovation. The Academy is an incubator designed to develop the talent needed to innovate in the mobile age by teaching employees how to flourish in a non-linear, unstructured environment.

“Innovation is about breaking barriers to create exponential value, yet traditional talent development approaches too often fail to foster innovation because they are designed for a structured and linear environment,” said Nikki Barua, CEO of BeyondCurious. “Consequently, an ‘innovation gap’ exists between the type of talent businesses need to succeed and the available talent in the marketplace. BeyondCurious Academy will close that gap.”

Barua noted that the pace of innovation disruption is so high in today’s economy that companies will succeed when they attract and retain people that are effective in solving problems with no prior frames of reference.

BeyondCurious Academy is designed to empower both experienced and inexperienced hires with the skill sets and mindset needed to innovate for clients in the mobile age. Participants will learn through workshops on new innovation techniques and tools, exercises to foster creative thinking and problem solving when faced with extreme constraints, and business mentoring to bring out their entrepreneurial spirit.

BeyondCurious Academy will also teach new hires how to think rather than what to think. For example, a project manager who is accustomed to working with specific timelines, resources and goals will learn how to plan and solve problems in an environment where new ideas and discoveries shift project priorities all the time.

“Our employees seek the autonomy to try new things, the connection to a bigger purpose, and the environment for learning and growth, and our clients count on us to help them innovate ahead of their competition,” said Barua. “The goal of the BeyondCurious Academy is to help our clients succeed by developing our people into industry-leading innovators.”

The agency also announced today the appointment of Amanda Schonfeld as director of talent acquisition for recruitment and people development. Schonfeld was previously with SapientNitro, where she was responsible for managing the North American hiring team.

“An innovative workforce is a combination of the right talent acquisition and the right talent development,” said Barua. “Amanda has the vision and experience to bring in people with the mindset for innovation so that we can unlock their potential with BeyondCurious Academy”

Custom SLR, a photography accessories company in Silicon Valley, today announced the immediate availability of the Custom SLR Dual Camera Strap, which allows photographers to comfortably carry and instantly access two cameras at one time. It features the same Split Strap Technology™ found in the Custom SLR Glide One Strap, which was rated Best in Test by Advanced Photographer magazine.

We are not the first to introduce a dual camera strap, but we are the first to deliver one with superior comfort and ergonomics. We continue to expand upon the modularity of our products to deliver new functionalities.”

Amid Supplement Industry Turmoil, dotFIT Launches NSF Certified for Sport Product Line

WESTLAKE VILLAGE, California (PRWEB) June 18, 2015

dotFIT Worldwide launches health, fitness and sports performance products which have undergone the NSF Certified for Sport program. In addition to evidence-based programming, formulas, and 3rd party testing, the NSF Certification ensures collegiate and professional athletes that they are protected from unwarranted suspensions due to banned substances in supplements. This is significant because the supplement industry has been under intense scrutiny by consumer watch groups as well as State Attorney Generals since several mass market products have recently been found to be fraudulent and potentially dangerous.

“The NSF Certification for Sport is a program that most others won’t undergo because of cost and the potential to not pass. Not only are the contents tested to match the label, the program includes a test for banned substances that can creep into products during the manufacturing process because of unprotected, non-segregated mixing rooms or worse, deliberate spiking of illegal ingredients,” said dotFIT Founder and CEO, Neal Spruce. “Collegiate and professional athletes, including my own son, need this assurance in order to protect themselves from unwarranted suspensions,” he continued, “and every fitness enthusiast, athlete, or parents of young athletes, also want assurance the products they take to improve recovery, performance, and health are safe and effective. This is yet another 3rd party validation of purity and potency for the dotFIT product line.” Spruce’s son, Nelson, is a collegiate football player at the University of Colorado, and was among the leading receivers in the nation. dotFIT clients include many collegiate and professional teams, and is the nutrition solution for Fusionetics, a state-of-the-art Human Performance System utilized in the world of professional and collegiate athletics to help athletes improve their performance, speed their recovery and avoid future injury. “Earning the NSF certified for sport stamp of approval is yet another example of dotFIT’s commitment and dedication to providing the best nutritional products to athletes of all levels,” said Dr. Mike Clark Founder and CEO of Fusionetics.

“Our customers will be happy to discover that not only are they getting properly formulated and safe products, but comparable NSF certified products are at least 20-30% more expensive,” Spruce added. Spruce introduced nutrition into the fitness industry more than 30 years ago. He was the creator of Nutritionalysis, the first nutrition program to be implemented in the health club environment, went on to found Apex Fitness, owned and built the National Academy of Sports Medicine with Dr. Mike Clark – today’s largest provider of fitness and sports performance education, and today is CEO of dotFIT Worldwide.

“Every person should be able to experience success through sport and fitness, regardless of their level. Our partners in the health club industry are also committed to affording their members, high school athletes and weekend warriors the same product efficacy and safety. Providing evidence-based nutrition programs, including a line of NSF certified products through our certified fitness professionals is tied directly to my personal goal of saving and enhancing lives through fitness,” said Spruce. “Properly made products can help everyone be more than they can be because we believe you can always grow stronger, play longer and live better, and everyone should be granted the peace of mind that what they’re taking is safe and effective.”
