Vancouver Hosts the World’s First Integrative Fertility Symposium

Vancouver, Canada (PRWEB) April 01, 2015

Natural fertility experts from around the world will be flocking to Vancouver to attend the world’s first Integrative Fertility Symposium (https://ifsymposium.com/) April 30th to May 3rd, 2015, at Harbour Centre (SFU Downtown Campus), 515 West Hastings Street, Vancouver BC. There will also be a free public talk Sunday, May 3rd, 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm at Harbour Centre.

“The Integrative Fertility Symposium is the first of its kind in the world to bring together reproductive endocrinologists, urologists, Drs of Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), naturopaths and Functional Medicine specialists with the one goal of helping patients conceive and have a healthy baby,” says conference co-organizer Dr Lorne Brown. For founder and clinical director of Acubalance Wellness Centre in Vancouver (acubalance.ca) — the first Chinese medicine clinic in British Columbia to specialize in reproductive health and fertility treatment — this conference is the culmination of Dr Brown’s pioneering work over the last decade promoting integrative fertility care and the healthy baby approach.

The sold-out conference has attracted over 300 healthcare providers (there is now a waiting list for the upcoming 2016 symposium). The speaker list is made up of internationally recognized fertility experts speaking on a range of topics including:

New research showing increase in live births with the addition of Traditional Chinese Medicine to In Vitro Fertilization (IVF)
Male infertility as biomarker of health
    Immunological infertility and uterine receptivity

(Click here for a complete list https://ifsymposium.com/symposium-time-table.)

The integrative approach is a combination of both Western and Eastern medicine that aims to treat the whole patient and may combine high-tech fertility treatments like in vitro fertilization (IVF) with natural therapies like acupuncture, diet and mind-body techniques like mindfulness meditation.

“The conference is not just about exchanging information and presenting studies but about all these reproductive medical experts getting together in a dynamic way to establish best practices and ways of working together,” says Dr Ray Rubio, conference co-organizer and President Emeritus and Executive Director of the American Board of Oriental Reproductive Medicine (ABORM). “An integrative approach creates healthier mommies and daddies, which equals healthier pregnancies, reduced rates of miscarriage, reduced rates of complications in pregnancy and healthier take-home babies.”

The popularity of this symposium speaks to the groundswell of demand for integrative fertility treatment and the paradigm shift happening in fertility care. Modern reproductive medicine has made huge advancements in IVF and other reproductive technologies, but studies are showing that alternative medicine is proving to be effective at treating underlying causes of infertility, improving the overall health of male and female partners and in helping to increase live births.

Known internationally for his ground-breaking work as an educator and advocate for integrative fertility care, Dr Brown was the first Canadian to serve on the board of the ABORM as well as become the first Canadian to be certified as a Fellow of the ABORM. In addition to founding Acubalance, Dr Brown has made a significant contribution to the advancement of Reproductive Chinese Medicine worldwide through founding Pro D Seminars.com and Medigogy.com — the largest English online resource for continuing education for Chinese Medicine reproductive health.

This conference also includes a free talk for the public.

FrioAire S.A. de C.V Hosts Product Seminars in Guatemala, El Salvador and Nicaragua

(PRWEB) February 23, 2015

HVACR technicians in Guatemala City, San Salvador and Managua attended Uniweld seminars that focused on brazing technologies and techniques to minimize refrigerant leaks, as well as updates on Uniweld’s latest product introductions, such as Uniweld’s patented EZ Turn™ hoses and NV1 NitroVue™ nitrogen flow indicator. Key talking points included the importance of properly selecting their equipment to properly install, service and maintain customer air conditioning and refrigeration units to allow HVACR technicians to achieve optimum performance and hassle free operation.

Uniweld’s Richard Apodaca stated, “In most Central American countries, HVACR technicians often select a cheaper option and in doing so, may circumvent some of the proper guidelines and installation procedures required by the equipment manufacturer, as well as risking the proper performance of the equipment with lesser quality product. As a manufacturer, I feel it is Uniweld’s responsibility to educate technicians on using the proper tools and procedures to ensure optimum safety and performance of the equipment.”

The technicians attending the event were appreciative of the information presented. Jairo Garcia of Refriteca, Guatemala stated, “Excellent seminar. This is the second time I attend a Uniweld seminar which is always excellent. I always learn new things.”

For HVACR technicians whom already know to displace the oxygen inside copper tubes with nitrogen while brazing, Uniweld’s NitroVue flow regulator was a welcomed accessory. Using a nitrogen flow regulator, which is specifically tailored for HVACR applications, takes the guess work out of knowing the proper flow rates required when purging and brazing HVACR systems.

The HVACR technicians present at the seminars, also had the opportunity to take the EZ Turn™ Challenge. The EZ Turn™ Anti-Blowback fitting has a thrust bearing that reduces friction so the service hose can be easily connected to the access fitting while under pressure. This becomes extremely useful when working with a high pressure 410A system.

Frio Aire S.A. de C.V., a Uniweld authorized distributor and host of the events, was very pleased with the attendance at the seminars and level of knowledge which was shared among all that were present.
