HIIT Workouts, Turbo Fire DVD

What are HIIT workouts and what do they have to do with a Turbo Fire DVD, you ask? Well, you’ve come to the right article. Read on, and I’ll explain what HIIT and Turbo Fire are, and how they will make positive and lasting changes for your body and soul.

First of all, what does HIIT stand for?

HIIT stands for High Intensity Interval Training. It has quickly become a very popular method of working out due to its efficacy in burning fat or adipose tissue. In implementing HIIT in your training, you toggle low to moderate intervals with high intensity intervals/time periods.

The Turbo Fire workout is an intense in-home workout program by Beachbody led by master motivator, life coach and fitness trainer, Chalene Johnson. The lifeblood of the Turbo Fire program are the HIIT workouts. In the Turbo Fire program, you work out at 110% intensity for 35 seconds, and then take a 40 second break. Do this for five or ten minutes and the afterburn effect kicks in. This is where you continue to burn calories for up to 48 hours after your workout! This will burn more than NINE times more fat than you would burn in a regular aerobics or cardio class.

And Chalene Johnson is right there motivating you through the workout and turning your body into a cardiovascular, toned, lean machine.
