Best Couples Workouts

Getting in shape can be a difficult task even at the best of times. But, if your partner doesn’t support you or isn’t into making healthy lifestyle choices it can be even harder. If however you and your partner are both motivated to get moving and work off a few pounds or just get a little harder, then you are certainly in luck as below is a list of some of the best workouts to do as a couple. These ideas will not only strengthen your bods but also your bonds.

Tennis: There is simply no better couple workout than a game of tennis. You can choose to play either one on one or as a couple against another team. In the first case, you’ll be running a lot and will certainly be up for a good workout challenge. In the second instance, you’ll have time to work as a team which can improve your relationship overall. If you are new to the game, taking some lessons together can also be a great experience. You’ll watch each other grow as players and you can practice together outside the lessons, helping to support each other as you each learn.

Jogging: Although some people insist that running or jogging is an individual pursuit, there are no shortages of couples strutting their stuff together in matching suits as they race through the nearest park. While the matching outfits might make you cringe, the activity itself is worthy of consideration. Couples running can be a great way to build stamina and to improve your relationship. If you are just starting out try a walk/run combo that is comfortable to you both. This will help you build your endurance and help you both sync up in terms of rhythm.

Cycling: Cycling, unlike running, can allow for more conversation and interaction between partners thereby giving you more of a verbal connection. Taking a nice trail that has periods of hills and flat areas will allow you an intense workout and periods of gentle exercise in which you can communicate if you so desire. Even leisurely bike rides, assuming they are long enough, are a great way to get in a moderate workout. Choosing a beautiful trail or path can also be a very romantic way to spend a Saturday afternoon.

Whatever exercise you choose, couples workouts will ensure a healthier and happier relationship between the two of you and with yourself. Getting fit doesn’t have to be a terrible experience and sharing the challenge with someone you love can actually make it quite pleasant. Picking some activities that you can enjoy together will have you both on your way to a better physique and a more harmonious union.

Dance Pizazz Shares Tips on How to Help Couples Deepen Bonds Through Dance and Teamwork

St. Louis, MO (PRWEB) April 16, 2015

There are many ways to help maintain that healthy relationship, and one of those ways is through dance. So let Dance Pizazz provide some tips and reasons why dance can keep that bond strong through these upcoming summer months.

     1.    Collaborate: shared learning requires teamwork, a key component in any successful relationship.

     2.    Vastly improve their communication skills: because verbal and physical communication are required for this experience, many couples have greatly benefited from learning how to listen to one another… and follow each others dance moves. Many experts agree that dancing can reinforce this cornerstone of a strong and health relationship.

     3.    Work together towards a common goal: Be it shedding those holiday pounds together, refreshing old dance routines, or finding a new common ground, ballroom dance gives couples a way to reach a desired objective together.

     4.    Build trust: it takes two to tango! Because each person is dependent on their dance partner, they must be able to trust one another as they share this experience.

     5.    Reignite the spark: because dancing is a physical activity, couples can benefit from sharing a workout together.

Dance Pizazz is proud to help couples -no matter how long they’ve been together- become a stronger, more connected pair. Check out Jon and Mandy’s and other couples’ success stories at http://www.dance-pizazz.com and be inspired to dance!

Howey-in-the-Hills, Fla. (PRWEB) November 24, 2014

Under sunny skies in the Plaza de la Fontana at Mission Inn Resort & Club 50 couples married 50 years or longer renewed their vows in a group ceremony yesterday, solidifying their commitment to one another.

“Good relationships never stop growing,” said the Reverend Glynn Ferguson, who conducted the vow renewal, which included a champagne toast, bubbles and confetti.

Bill and Jeanette Victor of Mount Dora, Fla. were the longest married couple and will celebrate their 70th year of marriage on December 30. Other couples came from across Florida and five other states to partake in the festivities.

The resort has been owned and managed by the Beucher family since 1964 and in honor of the 50-year milestone, the weddings and conference services team created an opportunity for others to celebrate by simply submitting an application.

“With three generations of our family involved in the hospitality business, 50 years have produced for us and our guests quite literally a lifetime of memories to reminisce,” said Bud Beucher, Mission Inn Resort’s vice president and general manager. “We wanted a unique way to reflect on our half century of ownership and management and this occasion was the perfect way to celebrate and personally show our appreciation.”

As one participant quipped during a group photo session, “Is this for the Guinness World Book of Records or Ripley’s Believe It or Not?”

Mission Inn has long been known as “the special occasion resort in Central Florida” and host site for many memorable weddings, proms, holiday meals, family reunions, and festivities.
