BONKGEAR, founded in the heart of an athlete, is a veteran owned small business. It is a first of its kind apparel company, providing you with the means to enhance or maintain your fitness level by ensuring that you always have a workout with you. Each BONKGEAR apparel design includes a hidden QR code that when scanned using any QR scanner on your smartphone, auto-launches a mobile-enhanced website containing daily rotating workouts inspired by the theme of the shirt. Each shirt design includes 9+ custom training workouts, with three levels of intensity – Level 1, Level 2 and BONK level.

BONKGEAR has launched a new shirt design and workout series for GovX customers – WARRIOR APFT (Army Physical Fitness Test). The WARRIOR APFT shirt comes with customized workouts and proudly displays a tailored Army APFT specific design on the back. Strength and Conditioning specialist, Stew Smith, creates the workouts that launch from the QR code on the shirts. “The workouts are designed to help improve your APFT test scores,” states Smith. “The workouts are perfect for newly enlisted soldiers, active duty personnel or veterans looking to stay fit. We provide an extra boost in maintaining physical fitness, and readiness for APFT test day.”

The APFT has a max score of 300 and consists of the 2 minute timed push-up, 2 minute timed sit-up, and the timed 2-mile run. “The military, no matter what branch, is finding it harder to find eligible candidates,” states Army vet and Founder of BONKGEAR, Chris Jones. “They are finding that 7 out of 10 new enlistments are out of shape and we want the WARRIOR shirts to be a form of self motivation to help them succeed.”

Smith is a U.S. Naval Academy graduate, former Navy SEAL Lieutenant, and an author of several fitness and self-defense books. Labeled as the Personal Trainer to the Heroes of Tomorrow, a tribute site to fallen heroes, Smith assists future heroes to train for any physical fitness test in the military and law enforcement agencies.

GovX CEO Marc Van Buskirk added, “The concept behind BONKGEAR speaks to the GovX culture of supporting all those who have ever protected and served. Staying in top physical condition is of the utmost importance to so many of our members, and the Warrior APFT shirt and workout series shows a deep commitment to their lifestyles, ethics, and call to service. GovX is truly thankful to have BONKGEAR on board with our mission, and to be a part of what will truly be an exciting and much-needed new product in fitness.”

Cubic Recognized as a Superior Supplier to the U.S. Army by the U.S. Department of Defense

SAN DIEGO, Calif. (PRWEB) February 11, 2015

Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB), announced today it has been recognized as one of the top performing defense contractors under the U.S. Department of Defense’s Superior Supplier Incentive Program (SSIP). The ranking of the top 25 supplier units within the contracting industry is part of a continuing effort to improve the government’s largest procurement operations by curbing costs and professionalizing the workforce. Cubic ranked as a tier 2 supplier for the U.S. Army.

The ratings are based on an internal data system known as the Contractor Performance Assessment Reporting System (CPARS). The SSIP uses performance data to rate the largest companies doing business with each of the three services, based on contract obligations, and categorizes by company business segment into one of three performance tiers.

“Cubic is honored to be recognized as a superior supplier by the U.S. Department of Defense. It’s our mission to remain focused on meeting the needs of the defense industry and this ranking validates our hard work and efforts on behalf of our most important customers,” said Bradley H. Feldmann, president and chief executive officer of Cubic. “We believe it’s our company culture to win the customer by delivering superior value through early delivery, providing the best people, being absolutely responsive and innovating what’s next with our customers.”

Cubic Defense Systems and its affiliates are leading providers of realistic combat training systems and secure communications for national military and security forces. Its primary focus is to design, develop, manufacture, integrate, innovate and sustain advanced technologies responsive to mission requirements of U.S. and allied forces. Cubic Awarded $51 Million in Contract Orders to Support Home-Station Training for the U.S. Army

San Diego, Calif. (PRWEB) November 24, 2014

Cubic Corporation (NYSE: CUB) announced today that it was awarded two new orders with a combined value at more than $ 51 million for its Tactical Vehicle System (TVS) and Instrumentable Multiple Integrated Laser Engagement System Individual Weapon Systems (I-MILES IWS) from the U.S. Army’s Program Executive Office for Simulation, Training and Instrumentation (PEO STRI). These solutions are instrumental to the quality of home-station training by providing significant improvements to training realism.

The orders come as part of a $ 4.3 billion Department of Defense reprogramming package presented to the U.S. Congress for critically needed defense equipment and services. This collaborative, bipartisan effort between the executive and legislative branches depicts our nation’s commitment towards national security readiness and the ultimate preparedness of our men and women who serve in our armed forces.

In a recent letter to Army Secretary, John McHugh, San Diego Congressman Duncan D. Hunter, a member of the House Armed Services Committee, expressed strong support for the reprogramming stating, “Cubic’s TVS and I-MILES solutions are crucial for warfighter training because they enable soldiers to rehearse combat skills and learn from their mistakes safely in a battlefield setting. These devices are used during live, force-on-force training events and provide the critical feedback for our forces to achieve and sustain mission readiness.”

I-MILES IWS uses laser emitters that attach to military weapons and on-body sensors to replicate combat and records data for later review. I-MILES TVS, the vehicular adaptation of Cubic’s man-worn Individual Weapons System (IWS), equips Army wheel vehicles and other tactical vehicles with lasers, sensors and electronics used during force-on-force combat training exercises. It employs Cubic’s wireless MILES technology to provide real-time casualty assessment necessary for MILES tactical engagement training in direct-fire instrumented training scenarios. It delivers superior performance because of its weapon simulation and casualty assessment accuracy for vehicles and fixed structures.

“Cubic is proud to provide I-MILES IWS and TVS training equipment and to support the U.S. Army’s relentless focus on training. We believe our systems play a critical role for the development and sustainment of our warfighters,” said Dave Schmitz, president of Cubic Defense Applications. “It is our goal to provide the most effective and affordable training solutions, and to do so by driving innovation into the areas most critical to our customers.”
